About Us
Established in 1974, the company has been involved in the construction and maintenance of Swimming Pools, Spas, Saunas and Steam Rooms for both private and commercial customers throughout their years of trading.
Rockingham Swimming Pools can offer a full variety of services for pool and spa construction projects, from computerised design, flow and filtration specification, air handling/dehumidification requirements, fittings specification and installation.
Our managing director, Jon Herbert, is the current Elected Chair for the SPATA National Council (The UK's Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association) and a member of the PIP Committee working on behalf of the British Water Leisure Industry. As the elected chair, Jon actively collaborates with industry professionals, advocates for best practices, and ensures that SPATA continues to serve as a valuable resource for pool owners, suppliers, and professionals alike. His commitment to advancing the pool industry is unwavering, and he strives to enhance pools for everyone.
As members of SPATA - all advice, design and construction is carried out to their strict recommendations, which are internationally respected and followed by the UK Swimming Pool and Spa Regulating Bodies (i.e. PWTAG, Sport England, CIMSPA, ISPE and HSE).
Our Engineering Team
We are proud of our highly experienced team of engineers who have been working on swimming pools and spas for many years, from large municipal leisure centres to residential pools and hot tubs.
We are also individual members and technicians of ISPE (Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers).
We think of ourselves as a team of engineers rather than pool resellers, and we offer the most well-engineered solution for any installation, renovation or repair. It is our priority to install high-quality, easy to maintain products, which we would want on our own pools and is highly respected in the pool industry; rather than base our works on the most cut-price equipment available to win the job based on final costs. The quality of the install dramatically effects any future maintenance required following commissioning, and by installing well engineered products which help lower operational costs, we feel it is more cost effective in the long run.
