Protect Your Outdoor Swimming Pool Over Winter with an Opaque Winter Debris Cover
Wow! What an amazing summer we have had! Its been lovely seeing our clients swimming and pool partying!
We are starting to close down and winterise our outdoor pools now, and we wanted to recommend and spread the word on how great Plastica’s Opaque Winter Debris Covers are for our Domestic Clients!
The majority of winter debris covers are made with netted style materials, and they are great, but we do highly recommend, especially for those pools which are exposed to a lot of sunlight, that a Fully Solid Material (Opaque) Winter Debris Cover is installed instead.
As an example. A lot of sunlight can encourage experienced heavy algae growth in the winter months, especially if we have a warmer winter and winter algaecides struggle to keep up as the months go by. By significantly reducing/blocking out sunlight into the pool tank, the darkness will also help to hinder algae growth over the winter months, making it much easier to open in the spring and summer, saving on opening costs with less labour time and chemicals. The Plastica Opaque Winter cover is designed for durability and can be manufactured with a reinforcement hemmed edge and protective corner wear pads to help preserve its life, and prevent damage to both the cover and your paving throughout the winter.
